Cluttering up the house or worth while?
I’ve been wanting to start up my collection of old game consoles for quite some time now, but since the 2 bed mini-house we’re currently living in has no space at all its never really been am option. This hasn’t really changed but I was wondering how much space a NES would actually take up.
After looking on ebay and finding a few great deals I was at the point of buying when I noticed the picture of the controllers, but what caught my focus wasn’t the controller but the amount of wire that came with each one. I’d forgot all about how many nights I’d spend untangling NES/SNES controllers from the power cables just so they’d reach the chairs we sat in while playing. It kind of put in perspective how great an invention the wireless pads on the current generation of gaming consoles are. With this in mind, I navigated away from the site and decided that this hobby would have to wait a little while longer, either while we moved house or I built a garage.

Personally, I think you made the right call. I hate junk cluttering up the house, and finding storage for it is a challenge. And…if you have to store it, why bother owning it?
I had completely forgotten what that was like as well. The cords were really short from memory as well and we were always yanking them out of the console when we got excited. Thank goodness wireless controllers are now available.
I remember there used to be wireless controllers for the NES (the ones I had I think akklaim made) and they’d eat through four AAA batteries in like eight hours. I’m glad to have my rechargeable battery pack for my X Box 360!
Hi
hi
Hey! try again! I don’t really care about wires! I really enjoy playing Mario Bross again, especially Mario III this is my favorite I am a master now! Can you imagine I have been playing it for almost 20 years and still my favorite, I still have 62 games, I don’t play them all but in my favorites Mario II, Mario III and Megaman II!
Get yourself some old consoles and spend the weekend reliving the wonderfulness of the retro Nintendo machines. NES, SNES, N64 even.
